The nutritional services staff at Rhea Medical Center knows that maintaining a healthy weight can dramatically improve your health. Being overweight or obese is associated with an increased risk for cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and more.
Lowering body weight can:
- Reverse or prevent diabetes
- Lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels
- Improve sleep apnea and other sleep problems
Maintaining a healthy diet is key to losing weight, but with all the food products out there, sometimes it’s hard to know how to make the right choices. Through Rhea Medical Center’s weight loss, you can learn how to eat better with the help of our knowledgeable and friendly dietitians.
The class emphasizes a low fat/low cholesterol diet. It meets the first Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m. at Rhea Medical Center’s conference room, and is free of charge.
To sign up, call 775-8636.
