The Emergency Department staff at Rhea Medical Center continually scrutinizes its triage and emergency care processes in order to improve efficiency, helping to make Rhea Medical Center’s total turnaround time about 70 minutes less than the national average.
With the new facility, the Emergency Department has nearly doubled in size, going from nine exam rooms to fifteen. The new triage area is equipped with an EKG monitor, which will help emergency personnel better assess the needs of patients showing heart attack symptoms.
At Rhea Medical Center, an emergency physician is on duty 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
