Rhea Pain Management Center
Over 100 million Americans suffer from chronic pain - that's more than diabetes, cancer, and coronary heart disease combined. Chronic or acute pain can diminish an individual's quality of life when it hinders them from participating in everyday activities. A balanced pain treatment program is an effective way to regain control over pain.
Rhea Medical Center offers hope to those suffering from debilitating pain. The Rhea Pain Management Center will open its doors on August 14, 2017 to provide balanced pain treatment for the whole community.
A Balanced Treatment Program
Anything from a sports injury to bad posture to skeletal abnormality can cause pain, and the treatment for pain can be as varied as the cause.
Dr. Chase Black diagnoses all kinds of acute and chronic pain. He creates a balanced treatment program for each patient that incorporates a variety of modalities including physical therapy, medication management, interventional procedures, and referral for alternative treatment.
Common Diagnoses include:
- Neck pain, including work-related injuries
- Back pain, including work-related injuries and sciatica
- Persistent pain after back or neck surgery
- Arthritis pain in neck or lower back
- Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)
- Nerve damage or muscle spasm pain
- Shingles pain
Dr. Chase Black
Dr. Black completed an Anesthesiology Residency from the Medical University of South Carolina and a Chronic Pain Fellowship from Wake Forest University/Carolinas Pain Institute.
Dr. Black commonly performs interventional procedures such as epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, selective nerve root blocks, and radiofrequency ablations.
Beginning A Care Plan
The sooner pain is diagnosed and treated, the easier it is to control. If you are suffering from pain that keeps you from daily activities, affects your mood or your relationship with friends and family, ask your primary care physician about a referral to the Rhea Pain Management Center.
The Dayton Community
If a patient is suffering from debilitating pain on a daily basis, they should not be expected to travel far for treatment.
